The Twin Sub was developed as a compact yet powerful low-frequency solution for the TRIO G3 – incorporating technologies derived from our SpaceHorns, reimagined for maximum flexibility.
At its core are two XB12 12-inch drivers, each featuring an enormous 6-inch voice coil. Their precision-engineered motor design, with a SingleFrame basket and ventilated magnet structure, ensures exceptional control and high efficiency – even at the deepest frequencies.

A specially tuned Class-D amplifier with an integrated DSP controller delivers up to 1,000 watts of power to the drivers. The digital control enables precise tuning to the room and listening environment – creating a bass performance that is not just heard, but physically felt.

What sets it apart: the downfiring configuration of both drivers, combined with oversized, downward-facing reflex ports. These generate an acoustically in-phase air mass that increases efficiency in the low bass region by up to 6 dB – with less excursion and greater dynamic headroom.

The Twin Sub can be used either as a single unit (stereo mode) or in pairs (dual mono), adapting effortlessly to any room concept – whether placed centrally between the TRIOs, next to a wall, or directly alongside the speaker bases.

Available in four elegant wood veneer finishes and with a custom-paintable front panel, the Twin Sub integrates visually and acoustically with the TRIO G3. A bass solution designed without compromise – for maximum performance in minimal space.

XB12 - Voice Coil 153mm.
RADICAL HORN. RADICAL DRIVE.

Let’s be clear: the XB12 is quite possibly the most capable driver ever developed for a large horn-loaded bass system.

Its voice coil measures a full 153 mm in diameter. With this massive 6-inch motor structure, we achieve outstanding values in power handling and efficiency, while significantly reducing power compression. The motor assembly features two high-performance magnets, magnetized in Europe’s largest 200,000-volt facility. The enormous voice coil transfers the force of the permanent magnet – with a flux density of 1.15 Tesla – across a coil circumference of 480 mm.

We use low-carbon steel for the pole plates, which have been specially developed for the XB12. To ensure high linearity even at maximum excursion, the suspension spider has a patented dynamic profile with progressive behaviour of its surround. The surround itself is made of low-loss NBR (acrylonitrile butadiene rubber) to achieve a fast and clean transient response. The diaphragm comprises a composite of long-fibre paper and carbon fibre – extremely stable and torsion-resistant for a precise piston movement.

The XB12’s new SingleFrame chassis features robust die-cast aluminium outriggers , which also enclose the magnet to ensure complete mechanical stability of the motor structure’s moving parts.

The XB12 is the ultimate reference in bass driver technology and performance It is a testament to the unique and uncompromising nature of the G3 series.

Bass Amplifier
POWER IN EVERY SITUATION.

The Twin Sub is powered by an integrated bass amplifier. The active modules combine a digital crossover and powerful Class D amplifiers.

Each bass driver is driven by a separate 500-watt amplifier, which can provide sufficient power even with complex EQ settings.

A 12-volt trigger input allows for remote activation of the subwoofer.

All electronics are protected by a state-of-the-art E-Fuse circuit. This is not only significantly faster—and therefore safer—than conventional fuses, but also ideal in terms of sound quality.
